Pub 56: The Pot Still
It really is scandalous that we've not covered more whisky pubs on here by now. Bon Accord is a good 'un but it's not got the wall to wall bottles that make the pot still so lovely. It's like an alcy's version of ollivanders wand shop. And the result of picking the wrong whisky can have equally destructive consequences. "NO, NO, DEFINITELY NOT".
For the maximisation of enjoyment here, I will give 2 pieces of advice:
1. Don't pick anything above the height of the person serving. I'm convinced when they get the ladder out they stick an extra couple quid on it. Malts of the month are usually solid and are about £3. Safe bet.
2. Do not do as we did on friday night and go for a hauf and half. Matching beer with whisky over a few rounds leads to absolute guaranteed devastation. A failsafe recipe for a saturday spent in bed.
