Pub 72: The Lismore / Lios Mor

To try and make my way through this long, long list of public houses, it's sometimes necessary to link together 3 or 4 new pubs in a day. It's an efficient way to tick them off but you don't quite get the time to soak up an atmosphere and really understand a pub.

Prime example of this is the lismore in partick. On this day it was the 4th of 4 pubs en route to the glasgow beer festival. All I wanted was to sink a T, update the list and be gone. The weather had upgraded to a drizzle so we decided to sit outside, and only ventured inside for the toilets.

Made a bee-line for the bogs and, in a moment, my whole view of the establishment was transformed. Each urinal is pasted with the name of a leader from the highland clearances, and a sign encourages you to give them their fair treatment. I was going to take a photo, but even in these circumstances, getting a camera out while doing a pee is still highly suspect behaviour.

This is a place on the right side of history and I plan on giving them some more money in return for beers.
