Pub 75: The Last Bookstore

Let's start. This is cool. The John smith and sons shop front is absolutely slick and the ambient tunes hover just around the right conversational level. It's spenny but you're paying for the atmosphere, and on this occasion I didn't grudge the £6 pint.

I don't know if it's the doomy gloomy glasgow mindset, but I just feel that we don't get nice things like this here. Someone undertaking and investing in a project like this is just too london-y to be genuine. There's usually some kind of dark forces at play when something like this comes around. Money laundering, undercover chinese police stations, or human trafficking come to mind.

I just couldn't quite shake that thought when I was in on Friday, but eventually accepted that it was here, it was real, and I should enjoy it. Anyways, headed for the door and something caught the corner of my eye. In a single glance, the facade slipped.

Carling on draft.

I don't think I need to go into much more detail. This IS glasgow, and I knew this was too good to be true.
