Pub 102: Whistler on The Green
Had a fair idea of what I expected whistler to be before I walked in. I'd imagined it was going to be in keeping with the style of the rest of the trongate, which consists solely of porno shops, offies and the high court with the most dangerous people in scotland.
Sadly, I was wrong. This is gentrification in action.
The whistler absolutely deserves to be a hard geezer boozer. The one that someone who's just gotten off with first degree attempted murder stops in at for a fresh pint of freedom. I mean, just look at that bar snacks menu - I sure as heck can't see any scampi fries or pork scratchings here.
The big redeemer here though is this mad character of a dug. Just skulks about the place all day looking absolutely miserable. I love him.
