Drinking in the intermezzo is genuinely like nothing else in glasgow. It is an actual time capsule to another glasgow era - probably one with more hillman imps and gangland stabbings, right enough.

The best way I can describe is to imagine that your gran is hosting the family, making mince n totties in her ancient 70s kitchen, the windaes are steamed up, all the grand weans are there, and she's offering you a wee drink. Shaky hands mean you're on an accidental quadruple measure, but it's a cosy affair for sure.

And in true family gathering fashion you'll likely meet drunk unc who is looking for an argument. Last time we wound up john the roofer (pictured) by saying that dennistoun was now averaging £8 a pint and he completely lost the rag. Almost came to fisticuffs!
