Pub 107: The Rose Reilly

A really chaotic week. Another long work trip to pontefract, drank in 8 new pubs, finally claimed victory over the mouse in my loft, hit a top 5 all time hangover, and got my half marathon PB. It's what I'd call ~a balanced lifestyle ~.

And the best of the 8 pubs was the wonderful rose reilly in queens park. I offered on a flat right nextdoor to this almost solely because of how good a boozer it is. Almost broke my heart when I came 19th on the closing date.

Sitting outside till 9pm last night felt truly continental. Unfortunately, the part of the continent that it most resembled was the donbas region of ukraine. There were genuine explosions coming from the streets across and I was wildly impressed with the regulars who barely batted an eyelid. They might look like performative males, but these southsiders are hardened veterans.

If you can ignore the drone warfare and paramilitary units then this is a really top place to sink a few pints of murphy's.
